Designing a home is an art that combines functionality and aesthetics. Our latest project at Eden Meghbalika in Baruipur, Kolkata, beautifully illustrates this. The 2BHK flat reflects Scandinavian European design principles, showcasing the elegance of brown wood textures paired with white laminates. Warm lighting enhances the ambiance, making each room feel inviting and serene.
Living Room: A Blend of Warmth and Sophistication
The living room serves as the heart of the home. Here, we focused on creating a space that is both calm and sophisticated. First, we designed the TV unit to be a focal point. It features brown wood louvers, adding texture, while white laminates keep the look light. The unit also includes a drawer system for practical storage. Backlit lights enhance the visual appeal, casting a soft glow.
Also, wooden door paneling ties the room’s design together. The false ceiling, joint with cove lighting, bathes the walls in warm light. This creates a cozy environment, perfect for relaxation. We also added a wooden sofa that complements the natural textures. Furthermore, a wooden jali partition with subtle lighting adds privacy without disrupting the room’s flow.
Bedrooms: A Harmony of Functionality and Tranquility
The bedrooms are designed with a focus on practicality and peace. We placed the wardrobe strategically on one side of the wall to maximize space. The wardrobe also features a window in the middle. This window adds natural light. It includes a seating area for extra comfort.
Moreover, the wardrobe continues on one side of the window, while a dressing unit occupies the other side. Above the wardrobe, a loft provides more storage, keeping the room clutter-free. The design’s clean lines and thoughtful details create a restful retreat, where simplicity meets elegance.
Kitchen: A Burst of Energy with a Yellow-Tone Modular Design
The kitchen, often called the heart of the home, combines style and functionality. We chose a yellow-tone modular design to add energy and vibrancy to the space. The layout is efficient, offering ample storage and counter space. This ensures that the kitchen is both practical and beautiful. The warm tones of the cabinetry align with the home’s color palette while providing a cheerful contrast.
